Halloween Information

Halloween is on Friday this year. Let’s review expectations for that day.

  • Students may wear costumes to school.
  • Costumes:
    • Cannot cover a student’s face.
    • Cannot consist of any weapons or any items that resemble or could be used as a weapon.
    • If a student brings a mask or any item that resembles a weapon, they will be asked to put those items in their locker.
    • Blow-up costumes or any costumes that require batteries or extra space for a student to operate in are not appropriate at school.
    • Costumes must still be in accordance with our school dress code, which states that at least a cap sleeve must be worn and the length must be modest so as not to expose students’ under clothing when bending over.
    • When considering a costume, please remember students’ comfort and safety.
  • We will have a Halloween parade. The parade will consist of students walking up the bus lane to the middle school and returning through the tennis courts back to their classrooms. If, as a guardian/parent, you would like to watch the parade, you can line up on either side of the bus lane, starting at the large pine tree on the right-hand side of the entrance of the bus lane and ending at the end of the tennis courts on the right-hand side of the bus lane. The parade will begin at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday, October 31. Please be advised that we might start five minutes earlier or five minutes later. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled.
  • Halloween parties…look for information from your teacher.
  • Please remember: any volunteers in the school must be fingerprinted. (No Exceptions)
